CNF BIENNIAL BOTSWANA 24-25 JUNE 2009

A successful CNF Biennial meeting and workshop was held in Gaborone   Botswana 24-25 June 2009. Eighteen Commonwealth countries were represented at the meeting. The meeting was hosted by the Nurses Association of Botswana. COMMONWEALTH AFRICA MIGRATION SYMPOSIUM

The Commonwealth Foundation and the Commonwealth Health Professions Alliance hosted the Commonwealth Africa Migration Symposium in Gaborone Botswana 16-18 June 2009. CLIMATE CHANGE SURVEY RESULTS RELEASED

A Summary Report of the results of the Climate change and health survey undertaken by the Commonwealth Health Professions Alliance was released at the Commonwealth Health Ministers meeting 17 May 2009. The Report contains some important messages to health ministers from health professionals.

COMMONWEALTH HEALTH PROFESSIONS ALLIANCE LAUNCHED

The recently formed Commonwealth Health Professions Alliance (CHPA) was formally launched at the Commonwealth Health Ministers meeting (CHMM) by Senator Jan McLucas Chair of the CHMM and Caroline Pontefract from the Commonwealth Secretariat. The formation of the CHPA was supported by the Commonwealth Foundation.

COMMONWEALTH PEOPLES' FORUM

The Commonwealth Peoples' Forum will be held in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago 22-26 November 2009 just prior to the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting. The theme for the forum is: Partnering for a more equitable and sustainable future.
